The Town of
Norwood has a new website. Thanks to the Norwood
Chamber of Commerce and the grant they received, we have a
new website that is wordpress and is easier to use and
easier to maintain. The new address is
norwoodtown.com.
The card reader at the Water Shack in Norwood is NOW
FIXED! Customers with cards can utilize the shack like
normal. The Norwood Water Commission would like to
thank you for your patience.
The Town of Norwood
wants to hear from you! The Colorado Medical
Marijuana Code gives local governing authorities the
option to prohibit or to license medical marijuana
businesses (including medical marijuana centers,
optional premises cultivation operations and medical
marijuana-infused products manufactures). The Town
of Norwood Board of Trustees would like to hear your
thoughts on whether medical marijuana businesses should
be prohibited or licensed within the Town of Norwood, and
invites you to a work session to consider these matters
on Thursday, May 19, 2011 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the
Norwood Community Center located at 1670 Naturita
Street, Norwood, Colorado. An agenda for the work
session is posted on the
Town of Norwood website (www.town.norwood.co.us), and at
the Norwood Post Office and Town Hall.
The Town of Norwood,
Norwood Water Commission, has three (3) positions open for
three (3) members. Each position will be for two
years. The members shall be residents of the Town of
Norwood, or else the owners of taps in the Town of Norwood.
Positions will be appointed by the mayor and ratified by a
majority vote of the Board of Trustees. If you are
interested , please send a letter of intent to the Town of
Norwood Board of Trustees, c/o Gretchen Wells, PO Box 528,
Norwood, Colorado 81423. Letters must be
received by May 20, 2011.
The Town of Norwood
Planning and Zoning Commission has four (4) positions open
for four (4) members and two (2) ex-officio members.
Each position will be for two years. The members shall
reside within the limits of the Town of Norwood, shall be
citizens of the United States, and shall be qualified
electors of the Town of Norwood. Ex-officio members
shall be non-residents of the Town of Norwood but residents
of Wright's Mesa, and shall also be citizens of the United
States and registered voters. The positions will be
appointed by the mayor and ratified by a majority vote of
the Board of Trustees. If you are interested, pleases
send a letter of intent to the Town of Norwood Board of

81423. Letters must be received by May 20, 2011.
The Town of Norwood has
received and processed 135 business licenses for the year
2010 so far. The list of businesses for the Norwood
area are in the Town dropdown. The Town of Norwood
thanks these businesses and asks its residents to shop with
them.
